Education has always been a subject matter to discuss
upon. It has always been attributed great importance even in ancient times.
Even with the advancement of the world, as a whole, the supremacy of educated
people persists everywhere. With a proper educational background, one feels more
confident in himself/ herself and leaves an impression on everyone due to their
etiquettes, manners, and speech. Moreover, others give educated people more
respect than illiterate people. Due to this surge in the spread of the
importance of education; the number of schools, colleges, universities, and
various educational institutions have emerged especially in India. The
government in power is also taking action to promote the value of higher
education in the mass public and foreigners.
Nowadays, countries are giving importance and making
attempts to attract foreign students to study in their countries. The government
of India has also taken such initiatives and trying continuously to attract
more and more foreigners. One such scheme launched by the government of India
was DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad). This is not an exam but a
scheme started by the Government of India and the Ministry of Human ResourceDevelopment (MHRD). Every year they are launching this scheme for NRI, PIO,
OCI, and Foreign national students. The main work of this scheme is to
provide NRIs, PIO, OCI, and Foreign national students a specific number of
seats in top engineering colleges, NITs, IITs based on their JEE Main Ranks
in India. From the start, many countries are a part of this convention like
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nepal, Oman, Malaysia, Qatar, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, etc. A

Every year thousands of applicants apply under this scheme in engineering colleges in India. In case of Indian national, only who have completed their 11th and 12th class or any equivalent examination from outside India can apply. The best thing about this scheme is that the technical institutions that are a part of DASA 2021 have been recognized as the top-ranked institutions in the country. A degree from these institutions is considered as a sign of big opportunities in the field of technology, science, and management. The government has done a great job and has made NITs and IITs Institutes of national importance by an Act of Parliament. This is all because of the dedication of the government to developing the country's manpower.
